Spotlight on one of Kendall's most delicious eateries - Tatte Bakery & Cafe
As Kendall Square continues to grow, so many new, delicious restaurants are popping up! One of our personal favorites is Tatte Bakery and Café. Maybe it’s because Tatte Founder Tzurit Or is a self-trained pastry chef, or it could be the smell (and taste!) of her traditional sugar cookies… either way, it’s a MUST-HAVE when visiting Kendall Square.
Tzurit Or started Tatte in 2007, baking 20 hours a day in her home kitchen and selling her delicious creations to Boston farmers’ markets. After only one summer, Tatte expanded to its first brick-and-mortar bakery in Brookline, MA.
Tatte’s cookies, cakes, tarts, and pastries owe their unique look and exceptional flavor to carefully sourced raw ingredients, Tzurit’s culinary artistry, and a passionate team of people who love testing, tasting, and talking about baked goods. Tzurit and her staff have a singular vision to enrich people’s lives with their exceptional baking, crafting bold combinations of flavors and textures that are at once vibrant and comforting, daring and familiar. Extreme attention to detail is evident in each Tatte offering. If it’s not one-of-a-kind and delicious, it’s not Tatte.
With four storefront locations (Including three in Cambridge) one of Kendall Square’s best kept secrets is quickly becoming a go-to place for foodies and coffee lovers alike.
- Tatte Brookline
- Tatte Cambridge, Third Street
- Tatte Cambridge, Broadway Street
- Tatte Cambridge, Main Street
The menu goes above and beyond coffee and cookies – It’s our #1 spot for Breakfast Sandwiches (free range eggs, VT cheddar + bacon all served on sour dough bread), and their lunch items just kill it. We suggest the Meatball Sandwich, the Crunchy Halloumi Salad or the Mezze Plate – light, simple, amazing. We’re not the only ones who think so – Tatte has been featured in Real Simple, bon appetit, The Oprah Magazine, Boston Magazine, The Boston Globe, Boston.com, The New York Times and more! And the best part is, it’s right here in Kendall Square for you to enjoy.
Starting in Feburary, Tatte will be offering monthly classes – so be on the lookout for more information!
