Eat @ Kendall - EVOO
Here at Kendall Square we consider ourselves to be restaurant connoisseurs, so we decided to check out EVOO after hearing some buzz about it around town. Right in time for Dine Out Boston. EVOO, an acronym for Extra Virgin Olive Oil, makes their food fresh daily with organic local ingredients and menu items are changed daily. True to their commitment to being “green” EVOO is one of the few restaurants in the area that is a LEED Gold Certified Restaurant.
Okay, now to the good stuff: the food! They serve lunch and dinner daily and their dishes are some of the most unique we have ever seen. Grilled garlic and parsley studded beef tenderloin with sweet onions, sour cream whipped potatoes, carrots and orange béarnaise? Butternut squash croquette with roasted shallot-mushroom ragout, creamed turnip puree and pickled onion-carrot salad? Minted Tequila laced grapefruit sorbet with wafer cookies? Are you hungry yet?
Lourdes' Burratini with Last Summer's Oven-dried Tomatoes, Caramelized Roasted Garlic and Grilled Focaccia.
EVOO has received praise from some of the most esteemed reviewers such as USA Today and The Boston Globe. And us of course. They were voted Best Eclectic Cuisine in Boston four times by Zagat. Next time you’re in the area, stop by for lunch or dinner and see what everyone’s been raving about since EVOO opened its’ doors in 1998! Owners Peter and Coleen McCarthy also operate Za which serves delicious and organic food in Kendall Square. See you there!
