Eat @ Kendall: Mother Juice

From garden to glass, Mother Juice offers an assortment of fresh and healthy vegan fare. From organic juices to smoothies to breakfast bowls and salads, these juicers pack a powerful palatable punch. Created by Ellen Fitzgerald and Laura Baldini in 2012, the region’s first juice truck is finally opening a brick and mortar shop in @Kendall_Square!

Mother Juice specializes in freshly squeezed goodness from nature’s bounty. Raw and organic cold-pressed juices and dairy free smoothies provide menu staples, and there’s also a vegan paradise of raw salads and snacks. The unusual combination of flavors is sure to surprise and delight. Consider “Unicorn Blood,” a magical blend of cold-pressed beets, carrots, celery, fennel, and pineapple. For a thicker smoothie experience, try the “Coco Love,” a delectable mixture of raw cacao, maca, banana, almond milk, and almond butter.

The expansion from food truck to store front gives Mother Juice the opportunity to build upon its namesake by offering healthy, hearty lunches. Tasty bites include the “Keen What”-  a quinoa snack with shredded carrots, beets, avocado, and scallion, topped with a ginger-tahini dressing.  Other offerings include a twist on a traditional Caesar salad filled with kale, romaine, avocado and chickpeas topped off with a homemade dressing.

For Mother Juice, taste is not the only priority. They source all ingredients responsibly. All fruits and veggies used to create Mother Juice drinks and snacks come from local, organic farms.

For a taste of irresistible freshness, be sure to stop by Mother Juice’s new shop and dig into a cornucopia of wholesome treats.
