Each week, the Kendall Square Farmer’s market offers a variety of foods, goods and services that all have one thing in common- they’re based right in your back yard. One such local treasure is Lanni Orchards of Lunenburg, MA. Lanni’s fresh from the farm foods can be found at the Kendall Square Farmer’s Market all summer long every Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
For over 50 years, the family owned Lanni Orchards has provided delicious local goodness to those looking for an abundant variety of fresh fruits and veggies. They operate a charming farm stand year around, with access to seasonal produce, including blueberries, strawberries, apples, peaches, and much, much more.
Fruit isn’t the only delicious offering from Lanni Orchards. Along with vegetable produce, the farmers sell freshly baked breads and rustic, homemade pies, cakes, and tea breads. In late summer, the Very Berry pie is not to be missed. The farm stand also sells cheeses, vinegars, oils, honey, and maple syrup.
Not only does Lanni Orchards guarantee the best quality, they invite customers to see for themselves. Lanni Orchards operates a pick-your-own experience for their berry fields. Customers are encouraged to bring their cameras and may bring their own containers for a fun day of berry picking. Lanni Orchards also provides educational tours of their apple orchard to students from preschool to high school. Luckily, if you can’t make it to Lunenburg to pick your own berries or take a tour, Lanni’s will be at the Kendall Square Farmer’s market this Thursday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
