Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'” So Kendall Square, this Martin Luther King Day is Monday, January 19th, here’s your chance to start the year off right in your community. Why not start here in Cambridge? Each year, Americans across the country come together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities as part of the MLK Day of Service. For the fifth year in a row, Many Helping Hands 365 has organized the 5th Annual Cambridge Day of Service for friends and residents to give back. Volunteers are needed to assist with projects to help benefit Cambridge residents inneed. From 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., make fleece scarves and blankets for homeless children and adults. Create Valentines for elders and veterans. Sort food, winter clothing, books and toiletries for people in need and more!
