Air Traffic Controller rocks Kendall Square
As we enter the final weeks of our Sounds of Summer Concert Series, we’ve pulled out all the stops alongside Berklee College of Music. We had a blast at the Air Traffic Controller concert on Tuesday – and we’re looking forward to Sirma’s Thursday afternoon performance.
Air Traffic Controller has a pretty grand following here in the Boston area, so we weren’t too surprised to find it difficult to get a seat. The weather couldn’t have been better, and their folk-indie sound was perfect for winding down after a busy start to the week. After their Kendall gig they’re not going far! Look for them at one of their upcoming shows, including the Lowell Summer Music Series, MusicFest, and a show at Brighton Music Hall with BLEU. Check out their website for more information on the band.
On Thursday, Sirma will be performing during lunchtime, so swing by and grab a table after picking up some grub from one of our favorite restaurants here in Kendall Square. “Wanderer” might be our favorite track, and we can’t wait to hear it live. Can’t make her Kendall appearance? She is also performing at the ICA on Thursday at 7:30.
We’ve also got some really cool giveaways coming up. So be on the lookout for the chance to win some area gift certificates and goodies, which we might be hiding around Kendall Square! Don’t worry, we will snap pictures of the “secret” locations and tweet them out – but that means you’ll have to follow us on Twitter for updates!
