Play@Kendall: Help Kids Keep Warm with C2C Coat Drive

Monday, February 23, 2015

300,000 Massachusetts children in low-income and homeless situations need our help! For many of these local kids, the comfort of warmth is an unaffordable necessity, often traded to make other ends meet. This week at the Kendall Rink, we’re partnering with Cradles to Crayons to help the organization reach their “Gear-up for Winter” goal of providing 22,000 Massachusetts kids with a warm winter coat.

Here’s how it works. Bring a new or gently used children’s coat to the rink from Wednesday, February 25th through February 27th, Skate@Kendall from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and receive free admission!

Drive Details:

Drive Day 1: Wednesday, February 25th
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Groove & glide to the tunes of Kendall Square Rink’s Resident DJ Nora Jordan!

Drive Day 2: Thursday, February 26th
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Receive free admission when you bring a winter coat, or a donation of $25 to purchase a new coat to the rink when you come to skate!

Drive Day 3: Friday, February 27th
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Receive free admission when you bring a winter coat, or a donation of $25 to purchase a new coat to the rink when you come to skate!

Cradles to Crayons targets children from birth to age 12 and will accept new or like-new coats in that range, as well as small and medium adult sizes.  Please ensure that the gently used donations are high quality: not ripped or stained so we can quickly distribute your donation to a deserving child. For more information visit CradlestoCrayons.org.

Can’t make one of the nights; stop by the rink during the day to drop-off your donation. Trust us, you’ll get a warm feeling after…despite the temperature.
