Recap of the 2013 Great Pumpkin Glow in Kendall Square
Last week we teamed up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middlesex County teamed up for the third annual Great Pumpkin Glow event that was held in the North Plaza of Kendall Square Thursday, October 24. The event was from 4-7 p.m., with over 100 of our friends who live, work and play in Kendall Square in attendance.
The entire Boston and Cambridge-area community was invited to take place in the event, which consisted of pumpkin carving, face painting and refreshments. There were over 250 pumpkins carved on Thursday by the local businesses that teamed up, as well as members of the Boys & Girls Club of Middlesex County. All of the proceeds from the event are going directly to the Boys & Girls Club, specifically the Everett, Cambridge, Medford and Somerville locations.
The event was sponsored by local businesses around Kendall Square and was a huge success. The Great Pumpkin Glow is one of our favorite fall events and we can’t wait until next year! Another thank you to all the corporate sponsors, families and individuals who formed carving teams – over $30,000 was raised which will benefit programming at each club.
Congrats to the Great Pumpkin Glow Carving Winners, Stratacuity – who traveled all the way from New Hampshire to participate!
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, and enjoyed this great event! Can't wait to do it all again next year!
