This Week @ Kendall - Thursday September 5th Farmers’ Market and Concert Series

Fall is in the air but that does not mean a lack of delicious summer treats! Stop by Frietas Farms (our vendor of the week!) for a slice of their incredible watermelon (or pick up a whole one!) for a delightful afternoon treat. Lanni Orchards will be rocking the stone fruit bringing their yummy peaches and nectarines along with apples, pears, and tons of veggies. Sharp Foods will bring your afternoon pick-me-up with their energy bars and fresh granola. Cookie Lady Treats will have their array of flavors including carrot cake and red velvet cookies, stop for a sample! Neighborhood Artisans will be bringing their popular fabricrafts, jewelry, and glass art. Swiss Bakers will have their incredible sandwiches for lunch along with yummy baked treats, rolls, and breads for you. If you’re looking for something to spread on that bread check out Fastachi’s varieties of nut butters. Along with their roasted nuts and mixtures they make a great snack any day!
On the community table this week will be Forsyth Kids please stop by to learn about their important work and to sample some healthy snacks from market vendors! See you Thursday from 11-2!
Thursday September 5th 12pm - 1:30pm ~ Anthony Fung Quartet
Drummer Anthony Fung, from Richmond Hill, Ontario is a sophomore at Berklee College of Music pursuing a dual degree in Jazz Performance and Music Production & Engineering. While still in high school, he was the selected drummer for the 2010 Berklee Five-Week Summer Jazz Workshop and the 2011 Monterey Next Generation Jazz Orchestra. He currently studies at the prestigious Berklee Global Jazz Institute under the tutelage of Danilo Pérez. Fung has played at numerous jazz festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival in California, the Toronto Jazz Festival, the JEN conference, and the Ottawa Jazz Festival.
