Saxophonist Lihi Haruvi is currently a jazz performance and film scoring dual major at Berklee. One of her original tunes has been chosen for Berklee’s 2010 Jazz Revelation Records CD.
Haruvi picked up the saxophone at the age of 10, and through the years she has led the Givat Brenner Alpanna saxophone quartet and been a player and a soloist in the Bnei-Hakibbutzim classical orchestra. She studied at the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, Tel-Aviv Conservatory, and Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. She received Excellent Musician status in the military and was accepted into the Israeli army orchestra as a lead alto and a soloist, where she served for two years.
