Walking from the Red Line (Kendall/MIT) to the Rink:

  • Total walking distance is between one-quarter and one-half mile (5-10 minutes).
  • Take the MBTA Red Line to Kendall/MIT.
  • Walk straight through the Marriott Hotel lobby, exiting onto Broadway (not marked).
  • Turn right on Broadway. At the first intersection (Third Street, opposite the "Steaming Globe" sculpture), turn left onto Third St.
  • Take the third right onto Athenaeum Street. The rink is one block down on the left.

    • Walking or Driving from the Garage to the Rink:

  • Total walking distance is about 100 yards (2-3 minutes).
  • Exit at Kendall Street (the garage entrance), and turn right. If driving, continue past the garage entrance.
  • Follow Kendall Street as it turns to the left.
  • At the next intersection, turn right onto Athenaeum Street. The rink will be on the left.
  • There is no parking available on Athenaeum Street.

    Driving from Downtown Boston to the Parking Garage:

  • Take the Longfellow Bridge (Cambridge Street) across the Charles River into Cambridge.
  • After crossing the river, take a right at the first set of lights onto Third Street.
  • Take the second right onto Kendall Street, and the Parking Garage entrance will be on your right.
  • Follow directions from the Garage to the Rink (shown above). Click here for parking rates.

    • Driving from the MassPike to the Parking Garage:

  • Take the Mass Turnpike to Exit 18 (Allston/Cambridge).
  • Bear right after the tolls, following signs toward Cambridge/Somerville. The Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel will be on your right.
  • At the traffic light take a right onto Storrow Drive East. DO NOT cross the river.
  • After about 2½ miles, take the Kendall Square/Government Center exit.
  • Follow the signs for Kendall Square, bearing left around the rotary, and cross the Longfellow Bridge into Cambridge.
  • After crossing the river, take a right at the first set of lights onto Third Street.
  • Take the second right onto Kendall Street, and the Parking Garage entrance will be on your right.

    • Driving from Harvard Square to the Parking Garage:

  • Take Massachusetts Ave toward Central Square.
  • In Central Square, soon after you pass Pearl Street, bear left onto Main Street.
  • Turn left onto Portland Street.
  • Take the second right onto Broadway.
  • Immediately after passing the Marriott on your right, turn left onto Third Street.
  • Take the second right onto Kendall Street, and the Parking Garage entrance will be on your right.

    • Driving from I-93 (North- or Southbound) to the Parking Garage:

  • Take Exit 26 for Storrow Drive. Follow signs for Storrow Drive.
  • Once out of the tunnel, stay left and take the Kendall Square/Government Center exit (a left exit).
  • Follow the signs for Kendall Square, which will send you across the Longfellow Bridge and into Cambridge.
  • After crossing the river, take a right at the first set of lights onto Third Street.
  • Take the second right onto Kendall Street, and the Parking Garage entrance will be on your right.
